Soundtrack

SOUND AND MUSIC FOR THE PARTY SETTING-

•The sound which we need for this particular part of the film is a hip/hop dance genre music track as this will be one of the main things which signifies that there is a party and also this is the kind of music which teenagers of today's generation listen to the big drum and base beats. This would have to be a track which would signify teenagers even without looking what is happening on screen. The track will be a mix of modern day music which will be composed on DJ decks. Below is a sample of the kind of music which will be played in the party scene:

•This soundtrack will not just be heard in the room of the party, but it will also be heard outside when the two female characters are having an argument outside however the volume of this music will be lowered and dimmed as though there is a lower tempo which will do on Final Cut Express.

•The music or soundtrack which we are going to use within the party scene has been created by one of our fellow piers who is directly within the target audience of the film.

THE SOUNDTRACK TOWARDS THE END-

•The music for the ending is very important as it is a sad moment where all the rush is over and everything goes quiet as the mood changes towards the audience.

•So this music soundtrack will be very slow with a quiet tempo. It will be aimed to make the audience feel sad as it is very draining with instruments such as the piano with low mello notes but also there has to be a persistant violin, click here for an example on what type of music which make the scene fell sad with the correct instruments.

•This will be creted in garage band with different sounds from different intruments but it will mainly be the achestror which creates the vibe and the specific reference of the sad aspect towards the end of the film. Below is a preview of the soundtrack:

SOUND EFFECTS-

•The sound effects which i will be using will come from Final Cut Express. They will be used on the black blank screen towards the end before the shot of the girl laid on the floor dead.
•The sound effects which i am going to use are a tyre screetch to signify that the cars in the scene before the two cars go towards each other swerve and break for a reason, but because this is published to the audience on a blank screen this sound effect is a narrative enigma.
•At the same time as the tyre screetch there will be a screem and a thud noise as though someone has been hit and knocked over which will fit in with narrative perfectly.

•These sound effects are vital and apropriate for this film because these are the sounds which create the drama and conflict which is needed to add towards the genre of the film (teen drama).

THE SOUNDTRACK IN THE CAR SCENE-

•We have decided to have a soundtrack for the car scene, we have done this to create more tension as it is heavy rock which signifies the rush, but it also draws in a wider audience as it attracts people who are fans of heavy rock.
